Harina Pan
A mock campaign for Harina Pan, the focus being on culture and family!
Curious About the Process
If you were looking at the campaign and wondering if the arepas were real, they were. I handmade every arepa used in the campaign, and took the pictures on my phone and edited them.
To make sure I had infinite possibilities to write with I made an arepa type face. Keeping the type as consistent as possible was an important part of the process.
Just to give some background, Iām actually Venezuelan. Both of my parents are from Venezuela, and growing up my mom made sure that I grew up with the language and culture. Therefore, it has always been a very big part of my life.
A few years ago, I had made a similar project back in 2024 for a class assignment to make a typeface out of something unconventional. I choose arepas, because when I was a kid and would visit my grandparent in Caracas my grandpa spell my name with arepas in the morning for breakfast.
Arepas are a big part of Venezuelan culture and identity. So when making a campaign for Harina Pan, I think about the culture that connects our family as Venezuelans.
